If you live in Southwest Pennsylvania, you can visit the Oil and Gas Zoning Map by FracTracker on their website  https://www.fractracker.org/2016/08/oil-gas-zoning-southwestern-pa/

To find your area, enter your address into the search bar at top-right of the map. The light blue layer in the back of the map is the Marcellus Shale formation. If your property is located above that layer, you are above shale gas.
